					  <description>My friend Isabelle is a sweet and compassionate person who is kind and caring. She has the gift of empathy for others, which can be challenging for her as she feels so deeply. Shya and I have often tried to convince her that the situations she finds distressing aren&#8217;t necessarily causing her the discomfort she often feels. We have suggested to her that circumstances don&#8217;t always cause her emotions, she is perfectly capable of generating sadness, fear and pain all on her own. To illustrate, I once told her of the time my sisters, Cathy, Mary and I were home alone and bored one Saturday afternoon when we were children. Somehow the conversation came around to burglars and boogiemen. Perhaps it was because we had just returned from riding our bikes past the &#34;hillbilly&#8217;s&#34; house which was set back off the road behind a thicket of wild blackberry bushes. He was reputed to catch little girls and cook their hair for sauerkraut. I had never seen anyone come or go from this ramshackle home but I believed the story with all my heart and never failed to pedal as fast as my little legs would go when we rode past the property. Whatever the reason, it occurred to one of us that we were alone that day without an adult to protect us. Then we progressed to the idea that because we were in the country, if anyone came to break into the house or to hurt us, we could scream and no one would hear. We chewed on this topic for a while until one of us had the bright idea to test our theory. </description>

					  <description>Surely when you are hungry in the evening, you really are. I mean, I am familiar with random or negative thoughts that are not rooted in reality. I can recognize those repeated litanies, nasty little recordings which play when one does not meet his or her own expectations. You know, the internal commentary that says &#8220;That was pitiful!&#8221; when you miss the wastebasket from two feet away when tossing a wad of paper. It is the noisy little voice that says, &#8220;I can&#8217;t ask for a raise,&#8221; or &#8220;he will never go out with me,&#8221; or the like. But surely this voice didn&#8217;t give me directives that were completely and utterly false? I was to discover otherwise. In the early 90&#8217;s Shya and I were living in a little house just outside of Woodstock, NY. It was overlooking the Ashokan reservoir that is one of the main water supplies for New York City. By day we did most of our work and at night we often sat down in front of the TV for a little entertainment before bed. It was often during this time that I would forage in the kitchen for a bite, a nosh or have a little snack to assuage my evening cravings. </description>

I've attended regularly over the past fifteen years and my body deterioration is almost being kept in check. However I've always noticed a lot of new faces at the gym, some of which seem to disappear over a short period of time. Most gyms and health clubs have a high turnover of members or &#34;churn&#34; as the marketing people like to call it.
