Tim Knox

Tim Knox is the founder and president of four successful technology companies and serves as an investor, mentor and advisor to many companies in his home town of Huntsville, Alabama.

He is also one of the Internet’s top marketers, having sold millions of dollars in products online in the last three years. His newsletter, The Tim Knox Report, is read by over 65,000 subscribers each week.

As a teacher, Tim is a certified FastTrac® instructor who has led numerous seminars and has lectured extensively on the subjects of entrepreneurship, small business, technology and e-business.

Prior to becoming a full-time entrepreneur, Tim spent more than 20 years as a technology executive for Boeing Aerospace and Teledyne Technologies.

As a private business consultant, he led the e-business initiatives for companies like Advance Internet, Mercedes-Benz, Time Warner and many others.

Tim lives in Huntsville, Alabama with "one wife, two kids, and six dogs."

I was asked the other day what personality traits I thought were important to entrepreneurial success. I immediately gave my preprogrammed reply about passion and dedication and hard work. After taking some time later to ponder the question a little deeper (I normally operate in shallow waters), I came up with a more detailed checklist for entrepreneurial success. This is by no means a definitive list, but I'd be willing to bet that if you don't have at least a majority of these traits, your chances of business success will be greatly diminished.
